The undergraduate programme "LAW" aims at familiarising the student with the most important concepts and principles of the Cypriot legal system, within the broader environment of International Law and the Law of the European Union. Particular emphasis is placed on the most pivotal legislative and case-law developments affecting various areas of the domestic legal order, including Constitutional Law, Company Law, Tort Law etc. It is pointed out that the programme fully covers the subjects of the exams of the Legal Council for trainee advocates (bar exams).

The Open University of Cyprus (OUC), through its participation in the European project "Liaison Offices with the Labour Market", offers to students of all its programmes of study, the optional and free of charge Thematic Unit (i.e. Module) entitled "Industry Placement". This module provides students opportunities for a placement to gain professional experience in their particular field of study, and the hosting institution can be any public or private organisation operating in the Republic of Cyprus.
Each student has the right to participate in this offering once or twice during his / her studies, provided that s/he meets the required conditions.

The total administrative cost of the Programme is €14400. The cost of each Module is €600. Administrative costs are charged per Module.
The total administrative cost for non E.U. citizens is €18720 and the cost of each Module is €780.

1 Students must take during the 5th, 6th and 7th semester one (1) elective, and during the 8th semester two (2) electives, namely a total of five (5) electives from the six (6) electives offered by the programme LAW. In addition, students may choose as elective any of the modules offered during the relevant semester by the undergraduate programmes "Police Studies", "Business Administration" and "Economics". It is emphasised that the availability of the electives will be made known to the students on the basis their preferences and the available modules in the aforementioned programmes.
Each student can optionally enrol, once or twice, in the free of charge Thematic Module "Industry Placement", which awards five (5) ECTS. The module offers a structured placement, designed to offer students specific industry and professional experience in their particular field of study, and to allow them to build their skills in a real-world setting.
