Two OUC Faculty Top ScholarGPS Rankings

Two faculty members from the Open University of Cyprus have been ranked among the top scholars worldwide, based on data from the past five years compiled by ScholarGPS. This significant recognition is awarded to Professor Michalinos Zembylas, Director of the Master's programme in "Education Sciences" and holder of aCommonwealth of Learning Chair, and Associate Professor Antonis Zorpas, Director of the Master's programme in "Environmental Sustainability Engineering" and Head of the Chemical Engineering and Sustainable Engineering Laboratory at OUC. ScholarGPS ranks OUC 4th in terms of publications and their impact among accredited universities in Cyprus.

The ScholarGPS platform ranks Professor Zembylas 6th in the broader field of Education, 1st in the specific fields of Human Rights & Pedagogy, and 1055th across all scientific fields, establishing him as one of the top scientists globally. Associate Professor Zorpas ranks 14th globally in the specialized scientific field of Waste Management. These rankings are based on the publications of OUC's academic staff over the last five years.
