The Postgraduate Programme in "Educational Leadership and Policy" of the Open University of Cyprus (OUC), and the Cyprus Association of Educational Leadership, co-organise an open hybrid lecture titled “Unlock: What it takes to be a school principal in Lithuania”. The lecture will feature Dr. Rasa Nedzinskaitė-Mačiūnienė and Dr. Eglė Stasiūnaitienė, Associate Professors at the Education Academy of Vytautas Magnus University in Lithuania. They will be visiting OUC as part of the Erasmus+ programme. The lecture will take place on Wednesday, 12 March 2025 at 18:00 pm (UTC+2), in the central conference room of the OUC Administration Building (33 Giannou Kranidiotis Avenue, 2220 Latsia, Nicosia). Dr Rasa Nedzinskaitė-Mačiūnienė is an Associate Professor and Seniour Researcher at Education Academy, Vytautas Magnus University. She is a board member of the European Network for Improving Educational Leadership and Management (ENIRDELM), and a member of the Young Academy of the Lithuanian Academy of Sciences. She is involved in students‘ teaching at BA, MA, PhD levels in the field of education management and leadership. She works with school teachers, principals and teacher educators at national and international professional development coursesHer research and teaching topics are related to the teacher education, educational leadership and management.
Dr Eglė Stasiūnaitienė is an Associate Professor and the head of the Department of Inclusive Education and Educational Support at the Education Academy, Vytautas Magnus University. She is involved in students‘ teaching at BA, MA, PhD levels in the fields of education management and supervision. Her key areas of research are educational leadership and management, assessment and recognition of informal and non-formal learning, teacher professional development.
