The Open University of Cyprus (OUC), the University of Cyprus and the MultilingNet are co-organizing the international conference entitled “Language, Identity and Education in Multilingual Contexts (LIEMC4)” on the 19th and the 20th of October 2024. The conference aspires to bring together academics at different stages of their careers who show a research interest in manifold aspects of multilingualism.

The conference’s keynote speakers are: Dr Simona Montanari (California State University), Dr Sari Pietikäinen (University of Jyväskylä), Dr Stavroula Tsiplakou, Associate Professor of the Open University of Cyprus, Director of the MA “Greek Linguistics and Literature”, and Dr Ernesto Macaro (University of Oxford). The title of Dr Tsiplakou's keynote speech is: "Harnessing Linguistic Landscapes for Critical Literacy: Lessons from Cyprus", and it will be held on the 20th of October at 14.00 (GMT+3).

The dates and times of the event, which will be held at the University of Cyprus (1 Panepistimiou / University Avenue, 2109 Aglantzia, Nicosia) are: Saturday (19/10/2024) 9.00 a.m.- 6.30 p.m. and Sunday (20/10/2024) 9.00 a.m.- 5.00 p.m. (GMT+3).
