Fundamental Rights in the EU

This course with the aim of introducing students to basic concepts of human rights and the EU human rights protection system. Upon completion of the course, the student will be able to   understand the mechanisms of fundamental rights protection in the EU, understand the relationship between the EU and the ECHR, assess the role of the EU as a global actor in the field of fundamental rights protection, understand the relationship between fundamental rights and the EU internal market and apply such knowledge in order to handle and solve fundamental rights cases.
