Ο Δρ Μιχάλης Τάλιας είναι κάτοχος Διδακτορικού στη Στατιστική Επιστήμη από το University College London, Μεταπτυχιακού (M.Sc.) στην Κοινωνική Στατιστική από το University of Southampton και πτυχίου (B.Sc.) στα Αναλογιστικά Μαθηματικά από το London School of Economics.

Τα ερευνητικά του ενδιαφέροντα εστιάζονται στην ευρύτερη περιοχή των στατιστικών μεθόδων στον χώρο της Υγείας, με εφαρμογές σε προβλήματα της Διοίκησης Μονάδων Υγείας, της Δημόσιας Υγείας και των Οικονομικών της Υγείας.

Στόχος της έρευνάς του είναι η βαθύτερη κατανόηση των ερευνητικών προβλημάτων του χώρου χρησιμοποιώντας μεθόδους της υπολογιστικής στατιστικής για την αντιμετώπιση των κρίσιμων ερωτημάτων στη διοίκηση και τη διαμόρφωση πολιτικής υγείας.

SHORT VITA

Dr.  Talias is an Associate Professor of the Postgraduate Programme “Healthcare Management” of the Faculty of Economics and Management. He got his BSc in Actuarial Science at the London School of Economics, he has an MSc in Social Statistics by the University of Southampton, and is PhD holder in Statistics by the University College London.

His research interests fall into the broad area of Statistical Methods of Health Research and Healthcare Management, Public Health and Health Economics. He is committed to advancing the newly statistical developed methodology to large and complex databases to address critical questions in Health Management and to impact policy.
