Η Δρ Χριστίνα Βασιλείου είναι Επίκουρη Καθηγήτρια στις Τεχνολογίες Πληροφορίας στην Εκπαίδευση και Μάθηση. Ειδικεύεται στην αλληλεπίδραση ανθρώπου-υπολογιστή, την τεχνολογικά ενισχυμένη μάθηση και τις συνεργατικές τεχνολογίες.

Kατέχει διδακτορικό στις Τεχνολογίες Ενισχυμένης Μάθησης, Χώρους Συνεργασίας και Διαδραστικές Τεχνολογίες από το Τεχνολογικό Πανεπιστήμιο Κύπρου και μεταπτυχιακό στις Διαδραστικές Τεχνολογίες με επίκεντρο τον άνθρωπο, από το Πανεπιστήμιο του Γιορκ.

Η έρευνά της επικεντρώνεται στη διαδικασία σχεδιασμού νέων διαδραστικών τεχνολογιών και στον τρόπο καλύτερης ενσωμάτωσης των αναγκών και αξιών των χρηστών, όσο και στην αξιολόγησή τους με χρήστες. Ενδιαφέρεται επίσης για την κατανόηση του κοινωνικού αντίκτυπου των τεχνολογιών τεχνητής νοημοσύνης, της ηθικής, της εμπιστοσύνης και των αξιών των χρηστών, με ιδιαίτερη έμφαση στην εκπαίδευση. Έχει ισχυρό υπόβαθρο στον συν-σχεδιασμό και τις ποιοτικές μεθόδους έρευνας, συμβάλλοντας σημαντικά στον τομέα μέσω της εργασίας της για τη συμπεριφορά και τις εμπειρίες των ανθρώπων ως προς τις τεχνολογίες.

Dr. Christina Vasiliou is an Assistant Professor in Information Technologies in Education and Learning. She specializes in human-computer interaction, technology-enhanced learning, and collaborative technologies.

She holds a PhD in Technology Enhanced Learning, Collaboration Spaces, and Interactive Technologies from the Cyprus University of Technology and an MSc in Human-centred Interactive Technologies from the University of York.

Her research focuses on the design process of new interactive technologies and the way to better embed user needs and values, as well as evaluation with users. She is also interested in understanding the social impact of AI technologies, ethics, trust, and user values, with a particular focus on education. She has a strong experience in co-design and qualitative research methods, contributing significantly to the field through her work on human behavior and user experience design.
