PROGRAMME STRUCTURE
The Programme offers four (4) specialisations / academic directions: (a) Educational Leadership and Policy, (b) Social Justice Education, (c) Special Education and (d) Instructional Technology.
For the completion of the programme and the acquisition of the Master in "Educational Sciences" it is required to study for three (3) academic semesters, six (6) Thematic Units (Modules) of 15 ECTS units each, as follows (per specialisation):

* The Open University of Cyprus is incorporating an additional Thematic Unit (Module) into the structure of the "Special Education" academic direction of the Postgraduate programme in "Educational Sciences," titled "Special Education: Practical Training". Prospective students will have the option to choose whether they wish to follow the Programme with or without the Practical Training. The Practical Training will be awarding 20 ECTS credits and will be available to students in their 4th semester, provided they have completed their obligations in the mandatory semesters of their studies.

[1] Regardless of the specilization, students must choose one of the two Thematic Courses offered for the Educational Research Methodology. Specifically, they can choose either the quantitative methods course (ΕΠΑ511) or the qualitative methods course (ΕΠΑ512).
[2] If students select to complete a Master’s Thesis, they can select the thematic course ΕΠΑ701Α from the 2nd semester. Then, at the 2nd semester the can select the thematic course ΕΠΑ701Β
Each student can optionally enrol, once or twice, in the free of charge Thematic Module "Industry Placement", which awards five (5) ECTS. The module offers a structured placement, designed to offer students specific industry and professional experience in their particular field of study, and to allow them to build their skills in a real-world setting.
